New Feature: Introducing Grouped Shipments for Increased Efficiency

We are pleased to announce the launch of Grouped Shipments, a new feature designed to significantly streamline the process of creating shipments for multiple cars. This update directly addresses the inefficiency of creating separate, single-car shipments when core shipping details are identical.

With this new functionality, you can now generate multiple unique shipments, each with its own Bill of Lading (BOL), from a single entry form, saving valuable time and reducing repetitive data entry.

How It Works:

The feature is enabled through two new settings, "Group Billing" and "Replicate Reference Number." These options are available in two key areas:

  1. On the Create New Shipment form: For creating grouped shipments on an ad-hoc basis.
  2. On the Contract Details screen: To set the default behavior for a specific shipping schedule, ensuring consistency and automating the process for recurring shipments.

By leveraging Grouped Shipments, you can now manage multi-car orders more effectively, improving workflow speed and consistency.

Additional Features & Enhancements

Reporting: Net Volume (m³) Now Available in Reports

To provide more comprehensive data at a glance, we have added "Net Volume" as an available column in reporting. This column displays the volume in cubic meters (m³), eliminating the need for manual calculations outside of the system. You can add this column to your custom report views to better analyze shipment data.

Authentication: SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) is Now Supported

For improved security and user convenience, we have introduced SAML as a sign-in option. Organizations can now configure Single Sign-On (SSO) to allow their users to authenticate using their existing corporate credentials, simplifying the login process and centralizing user access management.

Usability: Hazardous Person Identifier Remembers Names

To improve efficiency when handling hazardous material shipments, the Hazardous Person identifier field will now remember previously entered names. This small but helpful enhancement reduces repetitive typing and potential for errors when designating the responsible person.

Fixed Bugs

Inspections: A bug has been fixed where required fields in the inspection form were not being properly enforced. The system will now correctly require all mandatory fields to be completed before the inspection can be submitted.
