Feature 1: Railcar Loading Limit Indicator
A simple visual cue that provides real-time information on a railcar's capacity as you are loading it. Now, you can prevent overloading and ensure that you are not shipping cars that are over capacity.
The Railcar Loading Indicator is a small, colored dot that appears in the following locations:
- Cars table: Get a quick overview of the capacity status of all your railcars in one place.
- Car loading page: Monitor the capacity of an individual railcar as it is being loaded.
- Shipment creation page: Ensure that the railcars you are assigning to a shipment are not overloaded.
The color of the dot indicates the following:
- Green: The railcar is under capacity and can be loaded.
- Yellow: The railcar is approaching its capacity limit.
- Red: The railcar is at or over capacity and should not be loaded further.
Feature 2: Overloaded Cars Limited From Being Added to Shipment
To improve safety and prevent costly overages, we've introduced a new feature that will prevent overloaded railcars from being added to a shipment.
Now, when you attempt to add a railcar to a shipment, the system will automatically check its current weight against its maximum capacity. If the railcar is overloaded, it cannot be added to the shipment, and an alert will be displayed.
This new validation will help you to:
- Avoid Fines and Delays: Prevent the shipment of overweight cars, which can lead to costly fines and delays.
- Enhance Safety: Ensure that all your shipments are compliant with safety regulations.
- Improve Efficiency: Catch and correct overloading issues at the source, before the shipment is finalized.
Feature 3: Company Base Units of Measurement
A new configuration area has been added where you can set the standard units of measurement for your entire organization. Once defined, these base units will be the foundation for all measurement conversions moving forward, providing consistency across all railcars, shipments, and reporting.
This update provides a more flexible and accurate way to manage your data, tailored to the specific needs of your company. We encourage you to visit the new configuration section and set up your base units today.
To set up your base units, an administrator can navigate to:
Configuration -> Company Settings
Feature 4: LSD Format Requirements on Riser Booking for Trucks
When a driver books onto a riser, they will be required to enter the full, correctly formatted Legal Subdivision (LSD). The system will no longer accept partial or shorthand entries. An input mask and validation have been added to the LSD field to guide the driver and ensure the information is entered in the proper format.
Feature 5: Customisable Truck Booking Forms
Admins now have the ability to customize the booking form to capture additional information as needed. This feature allows you to designate specific fields as mandatory, ensuring that drivers and other users provide all necessary information to meet the requirements of the company they are booking for.
How to Configure
To set up your required fields, an administrator can navigate to:
Configuration -> Risers -> Scheduling -> Booking Required Fields
From this screen, you can select which fields should be mandatory on the booking form.
Feature 6: Dashboard Detention Calculator (Dwell Time Metrics)
Your WH Dashboard now includes a new section dedicated to tracking railcar dwell time. This component displays how long each railcar has been stagnant across multiple filters, providing real-time data to help you monitor your fleet's performance directly from the dashboard.
Feature 7: Blank Fields added into Reports
Users can now have blank fields appear in their Reports.
General Updates
Various speed improvements across multiple Wheelhouse pages.
